Born and raised in Southern California, Amanda has always had a niche for creativity, she has always dreamed about being the next Martha Stewart, so she had to start somewhere. That's where DEMANDA came from. Being in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, she wanted to share her own dreams and passions with others. In the midst of planning her next venture over a "soothing" candle she started developing strong headaches, not knowing what the cause was. After doing research about what is in her current environment, she learned that the "soothing" candle wasn't so soothing for the space around her. Research led her to Soy Candles, making and experimenting with small batches, her friends and family loved the unique smells and wanted their own. With the demand of the candles continuing, she decided to start her own business with the loving support of her husband.
